pdfIS THE WORD OF GOD YOUR AUTHORITY?

Keeping The Sabbath

Rom 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified (saved) in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified (saved) by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Gal 3:23-25 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified (saved) by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

GREATEST COMMANDMENT

Matt 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law (THERE IS ONLY ONE LAW)? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

What does all the law mean?  It means all that God had given:  It means the 10 Commands and all the rest.

BIBLE SALVATION IS BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST ALONE, NOT BY WHAT ONE DOES OR DOES NOT DO---MEANING NOT BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW.  A SAVED PERSON WILL HAVE GOOD WORKS, BUT HE IS NOT SAVED BY GOOD WORKS.  THAT'S WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS!

IS YOUR FAITH REALLY IN THE BIBLE?

People who follow latter-day prophets are led to think that their believes come from the Bible. Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA), Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Muslims are all told the same story by their leaders. If that were true, then the truths given in the verses above would have the same meaning to all of them. The fact is that none of them believe what these verses are really saying. Why? Because the Bible is not their authority, but rather the teachings of their “divine leaders.” What SDA leaders teach about salvation comes from Hiram Edson’s 1844 vision which resulted in their doctrine of Investigative Judgment. If you were to read Joseph Bates 48 page tract written in 1846 on the Sabbath, you would have in essence what is being taught by SDA leaders today. You must first believe that these men or women have “divine authority,” next, you must believe that what they have written (the extra-biblical revelations) have come from God. Since the Bible indicates that God's Word has been completed and that only false prophets and teachers would come as angels of light to give “new truth,” that should be warning enough to give any prudent person understanding.  Since there are no true latter-day prophets, all those who claim to be latter-day prophets are false prophets.

Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once (lit. once and for all---meaning no extra-biblical revelations would be added to the completed Bible.  The Bible was complete with the book of Revelation.) delivered unto the saints.

Matt 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

2 Cor 11:13-15 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Gal 1:8-9 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
