This page shows how the Watchtower spins verses in the Bible to make them appear to follow Watchtower beliefs.

WATCHTOWER ANOINTED LEADERS OR SPIN MEISTER?
YOU DECIDE!!!

One can find examples of Watchtower spins in their claims associated with these texts:

Faithful And Wise Servant of Matt 24
The WT leaders spin this text by claiming to be the Wise Servant or Faithful and Discrete Slave in Matt 24.
This cannot be true because the "Slaves" or Servants are not rewarded for their faithfulness until Christ returns at Armageddon and this is a future event that will occur after the seven years of great tribulation spoken of in Matt 24 and Rev 6-19.
***
The truth is that anyone doing the Lord’s will when He comes at Armageddon will be rewarded as a Faithful and Wise Servant.

Who Is Born-again?  John 3:3
The WT leaders spin this verse by claiming that only the 144,000 are born-again: meaning only those of the "slave class."
***The truth is that anyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah---God with us- Isa 7:14, God manifest in the Flesh- Isa 9:6; John 1:14) is born of God.  1John 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.  Jesus said that if a person is not born-again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.

The Little Flock of Luke 12:32
WT leaders spin this and claim they are the last of the “little flock” who make up the rest of the 144,000 in Rev 7&14.
***The truth is that the “little flock” here in its context is a reference to the disciples as stated in verse 22.

The Other Sheep of John 10:16
The WT leader’s spin here is the “other sheep” are the inferior, earthly class that account for most of the JWs after 1935.
***The truth is that the “other sheep” represent the gentiles that will be save and become part of the “One Fold” as stated in the latter part of this verse. There are many different sheep, but only One Hope (not two as the WT teaches: one earthly and one heavenly) One Sheepfold and One Shepherd. This is made absolutely clear in these verses also:

Eph 4:4-6 “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”

If one examines each of these verses in its context without putting it alongside the other verses, as the WT does, the outcome is quite different. It becomes apparent that the WT leaders are not anointed, but rather the false Christs and Prophets spoken of in Matt 24:24 who follow the Old Spin Meister Himself, Satan Gen. 3:1-5, who gave the first spin and caused mankind to sin.

This is an example of what the Watchtower ("Jehovah Witness Leaders") means when it says its literature is biblically based.

Matt 27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and (Judas) went and hanged himself.

Luke 10:37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

John 13:27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.

The Watchtower's method of "Bible Prooftexting" follows this example:

Judas went and hanged himself. Go, and do thou likewise and what thou doest, do quickly.

These are Bible based statements, but they do not represent in their context what the Bible is truly saying. The Watchtower leaders use their literature to mislead their followers in the very same manner, but only in a much more subtle and persuasive way.

ACTUAL DIALOG WITH A JEHOVAH WITNESSES

Subject: Who Is Jehovah/Jesus In The Book Of Revelation According To The New World Translation (NWT)?These questions were asked of two JW ladies who made a visit to the home of a born-again Christian. They use the Watchtower’s NWT text. This is a true story. Would you please read Revelation chapter one verses seven and eight! Revelation 1:7-8 Look! He is coming (Jesus) with the clouds, and every eye will see him, and those who pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief because of him. Yes, Amen. 8 I am the Alpha and the Omega," says Jehovah God, "the one who is and who is coming, the Almighty."Who is speaking in this verse? What does Alpha and Omega mean? JWS Answer: Jehovah is speaking. He is the first and the last (she did not touch the one who is coming).  When the JW lady was asked who was coming in verse seven she said Jesus, but when she realized that according to verse eight Jehovah was coming she changed her story. Note: The one who is coming in verse 7 is the same one who is coming in verse 8: Jesus, Jehovah, the Almighty.

NOTICE THE SPIN:

One JW lady said that the reason "He" was capitalized in verse seven is because "He" is really Jehovah and the rest of the verse is talking about Jesus.  She said that to make it appear that Jehovah was coming in both verses instead of Jesus who is Jehovah.  The truth is "He" is capitalized because it is the first word of the sentence and the antecedent for the  pronoun "He" is Jesus, which is clear from the context of the verses surrounding this statement. Revelation 1:17-18 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet. And he laid his right hand upon me and said: "Do not be fearful. I am the First and the Last, and the living one; and I became dead, but, look! I am living forever and ever, and I have the keys of death and of Hades."Who is speaking in this verse? Who is the first and the last (the Alpha and Omega)?Who do we know died and rose again to live forever and ever? JWS Answer: Jesus is speaking. The reason that he is called the first and the last in this verse is because he was the first to be raised from the dead. NOTICE THE SPIN: Jesus was the first to be resurrected, but was He the last?  Answer:  No.  The reason Jesus is called the First and the Last is because He is Jehovah and there is only one First and Last who is qualified to have this title. Revelation 22:6 And he said to me: "These words are faithful and true, yes Jehovah the God of the inspired expressions of the prophets sent his angel forth to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place."Who sent his angel forth? JWS Answer: Jehovah sent the angel to give the revelation. Revelation 22:12-16 "Look! I am coming quickly and the reward I give is with me, to render to each one as his work is. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Happy are those who wash their robes, that the authority [to go] to the trees of life may be theirs and that they may gain entrance into the city by its gates. Outside are the dogs and those who practice spiritism and the fornicators and the murderers and the idolaters and everyone liking and carrying on a lie. I, Jesus, sent my angel to bear witness to YOU people of these things for the congregations. I am the root and the offspring of David and the bright morning star."Who is coming quickly? What are the different names that the speaker calls himself in this verse? Who sent his angel to bear witness? JWS Answer: She crossed referenced in her "bible" to Revelation 1:8 and Isaiah 44:6 and told me that it was Jehovah speaking. She admitted that it was only one speaker in the verse, and that the speaker called himself Jesus. (When she realized what she had said she got an "nh-oh" look on her face. For about two minutes she went flipping through her "bible" trying to find something to give her an explanation. All that she could find was that it was Jehovah in this verse.) Then her friend said that John had been given this revelation by an angel from Jesus and Jehovah. Since there was so many people involved in the revelation, the angel misquoted Jehovah and Jesus and made it appear that it is one speaker in the verse. That was the answer that they were satisfied with.

NOTICE THE SPIN:

In desperation to avoid the truth that Jehovah is Jesus, the JW lady simply put a spin on these verses and said God allowed a major mistake by an angel into God's Word.  Well, you have two choices either to accept God's Word as truth or to accept the Watchtower's spin.  God's Word is truth and behind every spin is the father of lies, the Devil.
