Christians Believe In One God Who Is Triune

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 1 John 5:7 (They are one and perfect in all things: purpose, essence and being.)

WHAT DO CHRISTIANS REALLY BELIEVE ABOUT THE GODHEAD (TRINITY)?

1. The concept of tri-unity is a fact of creation. God said that He created man in His own image and likeness. Man consists of body, soul, and spirit. He is a triune being. He is one part material and two parts nonmaterial.

When man fell in the garden, that image was corrupted by sin.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Thess5:23

2. The body is not man's soul, for the soul leaves the body at death.

And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again. 1Kings 17:21

3. The spirit is not man's body, for the spirit leaves the body at death.

And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. Acts 7:59

4. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, for it is not possible to kill the immaterial parts of a person.

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2Cor 5:8

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matt 10:28

5. Those who die without being born-again will not see the Kingdom of God, either in heaven or on earth. They will be eternally punished in everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. Mt 25:41&46

TRINITY STATEMENT

The term Godhead, more commonly referred to as the Trinity, represents one eternal God, who is triune and exists in three eternal persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are in perfect unity, equal in nature, distinct in person, and subordinate in duties.

Jesus, is the eternal Son of God. There was never a time when He did not exist with the Father.  He is submissive to do the Father's will, yet equal in essence and nature to Him. See 1Cor. 11:3 to understand this principle. Because the man was over the woman, this did not make him superior to the woman. They were both equal in nature and being.

God the Father is the voice of authority, God the Son is the channel of authority, and God the Holy Spirit is the agent of authority. This is why the Bible can say that God created all things, Jesus created all things, and the Holy Sprit quickens (gives life to) all things and not contradict itself.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

John 1:3 All things were made by him (Jesus Christ); and without him was not anything made that was made.

Col 1:16 For by him (Jesus Christ) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

1Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
